BUTTER NAAN
Baking time: 10-15 minute
Baking temperature: 200 degree centigrade
Preheat time: 5-8 minutes
Makes: 8 Naans
INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH:
- Plain flour/chapati flour: 4 cups
- Egg: 1
- Baking Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Baking Soda: 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Castor Sugar (powder form): 2 teaspoon
- Yoghurt: 2 tablespoon
- Warm Milk: 1 cup (Instead can use 3 tablespoon powder milk with warm water to make a dough)
Butter:
Kalonji/onion seeds: 2 tablespoon
DIRECTIONS:
- In a large bowl add all ingredients except warm milk nd
- Add warm milk slowly and knead into the flour until it becomes soft and smooth.
- Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for half an hour.
- After half an hour divide the dough into eight equal portions and make balls.
- With the help of rolling pin, roll out the balls into a round or oval shape, while rolling spread one pinch of kalonji/onion seeds on it, roll it.
- Place these on a foiled and greased tray.
- Bake these at 200 degree Celsius for 10-15 minutes.
- After bake, brush the naans with butter and some fresh chopped coriander.
- Keep these warm, wrapped in a cloth.
