BANANA CAKE
Baking time: 50-60 minutes
Temperature: 180c/160fan/gas mark 4
Preheat oven time: 10 minutes at 180c
INGREDIENTS:
- Plain Flour: 300g or 16 tablespoon
- Castor sugar: 300g or 16 tablespoon
- Unsalted butter: 200g
- Eggs: 4
- Bicarbonate of soda: 1+1/2 teaspoon
- Baking powder: 1+1/2 teaspoon
- Banana Essence: 1 teaspoon
- Bananas (ripe): 4 large or 6 small
- Yoghurt: 3/4 cup
DIRECTIONS:
1. Greased and dust the pan with flour or line with parchment paper.2. Seive flour, baking powder & baking soda together and keep aside.
3. Softened the butter if it is hard. Butter and eggs should be at room temperature before making cake.
5. Peel and mash the bananas.
6. Add into butter mixture.
8. Now add one egg with one tablespoon of flour and fold all remaining flour.
9. Pour all this mixture in a greased and lined with parchment paper cake pan.
10. Bake at 180c for 50-60 minutes.
