BUTTER NAAN

Baking time:  10-15 minute
Baking temperature:  200 degree centigrade
Preheat time:  5-8 minutes

Makes:  8 Naans

INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH:

  1. Plain flour/chapati flour:  4 cups
  2. Egg:  1
  3. Baking Powder:  1 teaspoon
  4. Baking Soda:  1/2 teaspoon
  5. Salt:  1 teaspoon
  6. Castor Sugar (powder form):  2 teaspoon
  7. Yoghurt:  2 tablespoon
  8. Warm Milk:  1 cup  (Instead can use 3 tablespoon powder milk with warm water to make a dough)
For Brushing:
Butter:
Kalonji/onion seeds: 2 tablespoon 

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a large bowl add all ingredients except warm milk nd 
  2. Add warm milk slowly and knead into the flour until it becomes soft and smooth.
  3. Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for half an hour.
  4. After half an hour divide the dough into eight equal portions and make balls.
  5. With the help of rolling pin, roll out the balls into a round or oval shape, while rolling spread one pinch of kalonji/onion seeds on it, roll it.
  6. Place these on a foiled and greased tray.
  7. Bake these at 200 degree Celsius for 10-15 minutes.
  8. After bake, brush the naans with butter and some fresh chopped coriander.
  9. Keep these warm, wrapped in a cloth.
