FROZEN PARATHA

Paratha is a traditional way of breakfast in a subcontinent (India and Pakistan), people like to eat paratha with omelette and simply with tea but it is hectic for ladies to prepare it in every morning, so frozen parathas make life easier.

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Plain flour or chapati flour:  1/2 kg
  2. Salt: 1 teaspoon
  3. Castor sugar (powder): 2 tablespoon optional
  4. Powder Milk:  2 tablespoon ( heaped)
  5. Baking powder:  1 teaspoon (leveled)
  6. Ghee/margarine/butter/oil: 1 tablespoon
  7. Flour for sprinkle:  4 tablespoon optional
  8. Master puff/unipuff/ghee/margarine/oil for spread.  As required
                 

DIRECTIONS:

  • Add all these in a bowl and make a medium dough ( not very soft or hard) with normal water.
  • Set aside for half an hour.
  • Make balls and set aside for again half an hour.
  • Take a ball and roll it about 1/4 size plate, spread ghee & sprinkle some flour, then roll it just like a swiss roll, hold from both sides and bang it on the top, now make swirl or fold like a swiss roll.







  • Set side all swirl like balls.
  • Take butter paper or plastic sheet, cut into round quarter  plate size.
  • Put swirl-like-dough ball in between two sheets and roll it.
  • In the same way make all parathas.
  • Keep in a plate and freeze it.
  • When required just take it from freezer and fry with some oil or without oil is also good as there are a lot of ghee in it.
